Produce Direct: North West and Cradle Coast

The North West Tasmania region covers a large area including the coastal towns of Devonport, Burnie and Stanley; Cradle Mountain National Park and the rugged peaks of the Great Western Tiers form an imposing backdrop to the narrow strip of coastal plain on Bass Strait.

Postcard scenery awaits you around every corner as you tour the coastline of the beautiful North West. Lush green pastures, free flowing fields of tulips, wild romantic Bass strait and iconic natural landmarks are constant views. The region is synonymous with primary production, beautiful rich red soil producing export crops such as poppies, peas, potatoes, carrots, onions, apples and cherries.

The North West is also the hub of the nation's dairy production, producing gold medal cheeses, creams, butters and ice-creams. Visit the North West to fulfill an outdoor adventure, sample the local delicacies, or simply admire the stunning scenery.
