The story of Mercury began when Leslie Murdoch, a Bookkeeper and Overseer, teamed up with some French wine makers, to create the Tasmanian Cider Company. A large cider factory was set up in an old convict-built warehouse on Hobart's docks. 100 years have passed, and so have many types of Mercury Cider - from Van-Diemens Sparkling, to Celebration, to Hard Cider available in half gallon flagons. Today, we continue to make Hard Cider, Genuine Draught Cider and Dry Cider. Mercury - Cider from a Harder Time.
Tasmania has always been a little different. and so has Pagan Cider - producers of Tasmanian Premium Craft Cider. we're a small boutique cider producer, bubbling with fresh ideas. We use the tastiest fruit, fresh from the tree, lovingly grown in the Huon Valley by fourth-generation orchardists using earth-friendly farming practices. Whole crisp, juicy apples and seasonal fruits such as plump luscious cherries and fragrant quinces are pressed with care, then transformed by pure alchemy - using modern cidermaking wizardry - into ciders of rare sparkle, clarity and balance.
It all starts with the cleanest air, the best soil, and the purest water on earth. In 1888, Willie Smith planted the first apple tree in our orchard located in the Huon Valley, Tasmania. Four generations later, we still pick from this orchard - with a few more trees added to it, of course! Our organically grown apples are juiced, fermented and bottled, all on the farm. Visit the Willie Smith's Distillery in the Huon Valley as a special guest of our in-house distiller. You will learn about the French art of cider distillation using a Charentais Alembic Still.
Where cold air whistles up from the South Pole, and puffer jackets are uniform. Where strange beasts screech from below ancient forests, and fabled ones are striped, and spotted from afar. While craggy mountains cradle snow that melts down to the coast and wineglass-shaped bays. It's where good things grow. Good ideas, too, like our first brew, Tasmanian Red Ale. Splendid Isolation makes beer for those who want to taste, appreciate and explore good things.

We've been handcrafting delicious, natural, non alcoholic drinks since 2007. All our drinks are made by us, in our little brewery, at Oyster Cove, Tasmania. We handcraft our small-batch drinks using only the best fruit (organic and spray-free), from ingredients sourced as locally as possible. We only use fruit, water, sugar, gluten free yeast, and chilli in our drinks: nothing else is added! We don't filter out the natural sediments in our drinks, and we embrace the flavour variation the fruit reveals in our drinks, throughout the season.
It takes time to prepare great produce and Frank's have had over 100 years. Frank was the third generation of the Clark Family to farm at Woodside, established in 1836 by John Clark, the area's first white settler. Some of our trees, from the oldest heritage orchards in Australia, are over 160 years old and ripen later than any others in the Huon Valley. Tasmania's cool climate and long-seasons ripening fruit on the tree are what creates the taste. Our multi award-winning ciders are made from 100% pure Tasmanian fruit.

Bruny Island Beer Co. started with a conversation between a cheese maker and a brewer. Nick Haddow, founder of Bruny Island Cheese Co., and Evan Hunter, formerly of Tasmanian stalwarts Seven Sheds, Moo Brew and Lark Distillery, designed the brewery around a shared enthusiasm for fermentation and regionally distinctive, artisan produce. Our beers are available on tap and in bottles throughout our Cellar Door on Bruny Island, our Hobart shop, through the Cheese Club and our online store as well as in good bars, restaurants and bottle shops throughout Tasmanian and elsewhere.
Tom Bignell began brewing craft beer out of his father's distillery at their family property 'Belgrove' in Kempton. It didn't take long before T-Bone Brewing Co. was conceived, and it now sits prominently on North Hobart's main strip. Everything on tap and in can is handcrafted in-house. T-Bone's first priority is quality, with key ingredients carefully selected both interstate and locally wherever possible. So come in, have a beer, and check out where it is all made. You can't get much closer to the action than this!
Shipstern Bluff Tasmania is located 48 km south of Hobart in the Tasman National Park and is known around the world for its mountainous surf break and spectacular landmark. Morrison Brewery is an award winning craft brewery located in Launceston, Tasmania. Established in 2011, we are very much a family business, focussing on quality rather than quantity. Established in 1824, Cascade Brewery Co. proudly holds a revered place in Australia's Brewing History. From humble beginnings as a sawmilling operation in the foothills of Mount Wellington, Cascade is now the country's oldest operating brewery. The business was founded by English settlers, Peter Degraves and brother-in-law, Major McIntosh, who arrived on Tasmania’s shores in 1824. Today Cascade continues to uphold Degraves' values, brewing beers "that cannot be excelled" behind the gothic sandstone façade of this iconic brewery. Pure Tasmanian water sourced from Mount Wellington and Tasmanian grown hops and barley continue to form the backbone of our brews.
James Boag understood that there's nothing on earth quite like Tasmania's natural purity. Which means there are no other beers like James Boag's. Our history starts in 1881, on the banks of the Esk River in Launceston. It was in the brewery built right here that James Boag and son established their tradition of brewing excellence. Today, the James Boag Brewery still insists on using crisp Tasmanian water, and only the finest hops and barley, to produce a range of exceptional beers. Each bottle we make represents the purity and wonder of our island home, and our ongoing commitment to brewing excellence.
Van Dieman Brewing is an independent brewery, established in 2009, located on a family farm in Northern Tasmania. Husband and wife team, Chris and Jess Cairns are the founders and driving force behind Little Rivers Brewing Company. After a stint working at Burleigh Brewing in Queensland for two years, Chris and Jess returned to Tassie and spent many months researching and planning Little Rivers. Eventually the site was selected in Scottsdale in a pristine and beautiful part of North East Tasmania. With their young son Tommy by their side, and Stephen and Tracy Love as fellow Director's, they have hit the ground running and crafted a microbrewery that is fast becoming the talk of the island.
Moo Brew is an urbane confluence of art, style, great beers and downright confusing contradictions. The original brewery was built on the lush grounds of the Moorilla winery on the banks of the River Derwent, now the site of MONA (The Museum of Old and New Art). In 2010, a new brewery was built at Bridgewater, ten minutes north of the hatchling site. The architecturally-designed building houses a modern brewing facility, previously described as the best-appointed microbrewery in Australia. Established in 2005, Moo Brew is now the state’s largest locally-owned brewery. The Moo Brew labels display the works of Australian artist John Kelly.
