Mark Gilbert Guitars are superbly made electric guitars. Hadcrafted in Tasmania, Australia from special species of wood and only the finest components. Each Mark Gilbert Guitar is made from the best, sustainably sourced Tasmanian wood including: Figured Tasmanian Blackwood, Musk, Black Heart Sassafras, Myrtle (Burled, Striped and Tiger) and Huon Pine.
Devil Guitars Tasmania
Tasmania has its fair share of guitar makers, and Bruce Trappes has added Devil Guitars to the list. The difference is he makes cigar box guitars. A cigar box guitar, just as the name says, is a guitar made using a wooden cigar box for the body. Born out of a desire to make music in the Southern US states, people used what was available.
Daniel Brauchli: Luthier
Alaskan born Daniel Brauchli is a musician and artist who has been playing, designing and building musical instruments for over thirty years. Now living in Tasmania, Daniel is making original designs of guitars, mandolins, etc, that combine the powerful acoustic properties of carbon fiber bracing, with beautiful Tasmanian timbers.
Tarrant Guitars
Tarrant Guitars is a one man, boutique, guitar workshop owned and operated by Australian Guitar Maker Billy Tarrant. Billy creates a wide range of guitars in all different shapes and sizes including 6, 8, and 12 string acoustic, hollow neck weissenborns, ukuleles and Irish Bouzouki's using solid tone wood from local and international sources.
